Home Sweet Home

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a 'New Home' card featuring the super cute My Own Key Tilda from the You Are Invited collection.  The gorgeous papers I've used are all from Maja Design's new Celebration collection.

As always I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I've also added dots to her cheeks and top with a white gel pen.  I have used two different post mark stamps from Magnolia on the edges of the image.
I've used lots of Doohickey dies on my card.  This gorgeous sign from kit 4, Le Jardin seemed perfect to use as a for sale/sold sign, but now it says Home Sweet Home instead of sold!  Notice the two colour stamping on the sentiment?  Yes, I couldn't resist using my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform again!  I've added some tiny pearls over the stamped screw heads.
How cute is the little key and house key fob?  I've joined them with some blue twine.  I've also given the lock some pearl 'screws'.  All three Doohickeys are from the You are Invited collection too.
I created a little envelope with the medium Vintage Photo Frame Doohickey and popped a resin rose from Craft Heave on the flap.
The window from Doohickey kit 4 also came in handy for this house themed card!
I've used my favourite Bloomy Tag Doohickey and added white seam binding.
Hanging from the tag is the House Tag Doohickey and a key Doohickey from last year's Advent Calendar.
I used the cut out bricks from the House Tag to add extra interest to the house!
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Craft Heaven this month.  Thanks for looking! x

Tilda with Dotted Boots

Good morning!  Today I have a birthday card to share using the super cute Tilda with Dotted Boots from the It's Springtime Collection and papers from the new Maja Design Collection - Celebration.
I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique as always.  I added some Glossy Accents to her boots and Stickles to the ribbon in her hair.
I added some flowers and twine from my stash along with some chipboard leaves from Scrapiniec.
The gorgeous lace is from Craft Heaven and the sentiment was cut from one of the Maja papers.
I used the Tilda's Ticket Doohickey die for the tags and some Magnolia postmark stamps around the edges of the image.
I used the Doily Doohickey to cut the pink doily behind the image.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Under the Sea

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for the All About Magnolia Challenge.  Our theme this month is 'Lace and Pearls'.
I have painted the gorgeous 'A Fish Kisses to Tilda' with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added white dots with a gel pen and highlighted different areas of the image with a Wink of Stella pen, Stickles and Glossy Accents.
I have used lots of Doohickey dies on this card!  The jelly fish were cut from Maja Design's Celebration papers.
The cute seahorse is also a Doohickey and cut from another paper in the collection.  I have added bubbles with Glossy Accents.
The orchids were cut with the Orchid Doohickey from coffee filter paper.  I have added pink stamens and details with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
All of the sea plants were cut with Doohickey dies from various papers from Maja's Celebration collection.  I have added just a single pearl on the sea bed to fit the challenge and some Scrapiniec chipboard pieces to represent shells.
The anchor is another Doohickey die.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Pop over to the All About Magnolia blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations. x

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning and happy Valentine's Day.  To celebrate I made this Valentine's card with the gorgeous Love Typewriter Doohickey as the main feature and papers from Maja Design's new collection - Celebration.  I used the Magnolia Doily Doohickey to create the shape of the card.
I cut the typewriter from black cardstock and added details with a gold pen.  The letter and hearts were cut from white cardstock and I inked the hearts with Festive Berries Distress Ink.
I have propped the typewriter and letter on 3D pads for extra dimension.
On the base of the easel card I have stamped the Roses are Red Text from the You Are Invited Collection.
I added some pale pink roses and a black Prima flower along with some crystal stems from Magnolia.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Tilda Throws Away Hearts

Good morning!  I have another card to share on the Craft Heaven blog today.  Continuing our love theme that we have for our challenge this month, I made a card with Tilda Throws Away Hearts from the 'You are Invited' collection.  I have also used lots of scrumptious papers from the new Maja Design collection - Celebration.
As soon as I saw this Tilda I knew I wanted to paint her black and white and the hearts red.  I love this effect on photographs.  I have used just two colours of Distress Inks to paint her - Black Soot and Aged Mahogany.
I have used several Doohickey dies that feature hearts to continue the heart theme throughout the card.  I have also popped a little Scrapiniec chipboard heart on there.
I couldn't resist adding the amazing Eiffel Tower Doohickey, also cut from the Maja papers.
I have used some of the off cut hearts from the tags to decorate the card and ribbon from my stash for the tags.
The gorgeous lace is also from Craft Heaven.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  x

Swan Lake Theatre

I'm so excited to share my first creation on my Magnolia blog!  I made this Swan Lake Theatre back in November on the Online Magnolia Day and actually realised today that I only posted it on Facebook, not on my blog!!  As my daughter takes ballet lessons I gave her the theatre as a decoration for her bedroom.
The base of the theatre is a recycled cardboard ribbon spool which I covered in some beautiful Pion Design papers around the outside.  I also used a scrap of paper that looked like wood for the floor boards on the stage.
I painted Tilda and the swans with Distress Inks and then cut them out completely so that I could add them to the stage.
I used the Heart Swirl Doohickey from Magnolia to create the vines to frame the sides of the stage.  I used some beautiful straws from Craft Heaven Shop topped with pearl pins for the frame supports.  I also added lace and some rose trim around the top of the theatre.
I also added some pretty flowers from my collection at the base of each straw.
Here is the view looking down on Tilda from above the theatre.  I hope you have enjoyed viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it!  Thanks for looking! x
