Chestnuts Roasting Christmas Card

Good morning!  Here's another one of my Christmas cards this morning.  How cute is this Tilda holding 2022?  I've painted her using the no lines technique and added Stardust Stickles to. her wings, halo and the 2022.

The background stamp is from Magnolia Ink Market.  I love this line of stamps and dies from Magnolia.  Check them out here if you are not familiar with them.  I have attempted to use gold and copper leaf for the background stamp.  I never seem to be able to get the whole sentiment to be covered but quite liked the vintage effect of having some bits missing so here it is on a card.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  I'll be back this afternoon with another Christmas card.

Believe Christmas Card

Good afternoon!  Another quick Christmas card from me this afternoon using lettering and stars from Doohickey Volume 32.  The blue paper is from Maja Design and I have teamed it with rose gold glitter card.  I only made one of these but it was incredibly quick to make so is ideal for batch making cards.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Balloon Christmas Card

Good morning!  Another Christmas card to show you today, this time featuring the gorgeous Hot Air Balloon Doohickey.  The beautiful background has been cut with the Tim Holtz Falling Stars die.  I love it for gorgeous but speedy backgrounds!  I cut the hot air balloon twice from co-ordinating Maja Design Christmas papers and then cut them to make a striped balloon.

I have used copper glitter card behind the Falling Stars die cut for extra sparkle.  The sentiment has been cut from some Maja Design Papers.  The seam binding was white and I stained it with a mixture of Fired Brick and Festive Berries Distress Inks.  The bells are from my stash.

Heart Shaped Christmas Card

Good evening!  As usual at this time of year, I have been busy making lots of Christmas cards and only now getting around to blogging them.  The first card I have to show you features Edwin and a sentiment from the November Pop Up Box.  I love all of the new sentiments that are with these sets.

I have coloured Ewin using the 'no lines' technique with Distress Inks.  To carry on the hearts that are coming up from his hand, I stamped the two hearts that come in the stamp set with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  I have also stamped around the edges of the image mat with snowflakes from the set using Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

I have used different Doohickey Snowflake dies and the Misteltoe Doohickey to decorate the card.  The straws, ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Happy Halloween

Good morning!  I have a Halloween card to show you today, created with the gorgeous stamps from the Halloween Pop Up Box 2022.

I coloured the super cute Tilda/Edwin dressed as a devil with Distress Inks using the no lines technique as and have popped the image on foam pads in front of the gorgeous cloud die cut with the fabulous die from Vol. 33.  I love die cuts that have stitching effects around the edges.

The sentiment, which is also from the Pop Up Box, has been stamped with Pickett Fence Distress Ink.

I had a lot of fun creating the background for this card.  I stamped the moon and stars from the Pop Up Box and then inked around them with several Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon and Seedless Preserves.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Sketch Effect Birthday Card

Good afternoon!  I have something a little different to share today.  Embarrassingly for a card maker, I forgot a birthday recently until the day of the birthday!  Consequently, a very quick card make was required.  I decided to see if I could do a 'pencil sketch' of Tilda to speed up the colouring process, which usually takes me at least an hour!

I stamped Tilda with grey ink so that it was the closest colour to a pencil drawing and then shaded with a pencil and blending stump.  I think it turned out really well and will definitely be using the technique again in the future.  The sentiment and Tilda are the 'Just For You' set from the Jubilee Collection.  I just love that delicious looking cake!

75th Birthday Card

Good afternoon!  After such a long time I have made something that I am able to blog - I have not been completely idle in my time away - just created things that were for magazines which I couldn't share.  Today's card uses the gorgeous Magnolia Market dies, namely the 'Le Balloon, Balloon & Basket' and 'Le Balloon, Clouds and Flowers' die sets.  The papers are by Maja Design and the lace is from Craft Heaven.

I cut the balloon from two different papers and then cut my own stripes in the pink paper version so that I could layer it p to make a striped balloon.  The basket and ropes were cut from kraft cardstock.  Everything is inked on the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

The 75 was cut with a Tim Holtz dies using rose gold glitter cardstock.
