Life is a Rollercoaster!

Good evening!  I am excited to share today's card with you.  It is one of those cards where the idea in my head actually turned out exactly how I imagined!  I have used Maja Design Celebration paper for the background of the card and I have cut the top with a die from Doohickey Volume 9.

I have painted Rollercoaster Tilda from the Class Trip Collection with Distress Inks using the no lines technique as always.  I have also used a white gel pen for the dots on her eyes and cheeks.

As soon as I saw this fun image I thought that the Insta Film Strips Doohickey would look great as rollercoaster tracks - I'm so pleased with them!

They really make it look like Tilda is on a huge rollercoaster!  This card features a fun surprise for the recipient - click on the video link below to see how it works.

Ninja Birthday Card

Good morning!  I have a cute boy's card to share with you today that I created for a little boy who loves Lego Ninjago.  Of course, I had to paint Ninja Edwin from the Sakura Collection to match his favourite character, Kai.

I also painted Edwin's face yellow so that he looks like a Lego figure rather than a real person.  It worked pretty well I think.

The backing paper for the card is by Maja Design and then I have used lots of coloured card from my stash to create the rest of the details.  I have used the Tower Doohickey to create the Ninjago Temple.  I cut the roof part twice and snipped the point off one to use it lower down on the tower.

I used the fence Doohickey from Doohickey kit 6 and cut away the grass part to make the bridge.  I have also used the Cloud Doohickey several times to create the rocky edges around the rest of the scene.

I used a circle punch to create the tab on the side of the card.

Pull the tab and see what happens!

Tilda Throws Away Hearts

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for the Craft Heaven blog using papers from Maja Design and the sweet Tilda Throws Away Hearts from Magnolia.  The card shape was cut with a Doohickey frame die from Vintage Box 5.
I painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique as always.  I've added some lace details to her dress using a white gel pen.
The sentiment is from the Stempelglede Just a Note stamp set.  The butterflies were cut with a Martha Stewart punch and the rose and the flowers were cut with Doohickey dies.
I also added some lace and a chipboard piece from Craft Heaven along with some button twine and a white and pink rose.  The flowers were made from ecru foamiran and pink stamens.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Craft Heaven for this month's challenge.  Pop over to the blog for more inspiration.

Thanks for looking! x

May The Force Be With You!

Good evening!  I am back after a little break with my latest card for Craft Heaven using the super cute stamps from the Galaxy Collection and paper from Maja Design.
My little nephew loves Star Wars so these two were perfect to use on his card.  The Maja Design paper was perfect for a 'starry sky'!  As always, I've painted the images with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also added Glossy Accents to the droid, lightsabre and Tilda's boots.
I also used the moon stamp from the Galaxy Collection, stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink and shaded with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  I've added some lustre with a Wink of Stella pen.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
