Craft Heaven DT - Castle Pop Up Card

Good morning!  I have a castle pop up card to show you today using Maja Design papers and the wonderful Magnolia Castle Doohickey die.  The papers are from Maja's Vintage Summer Basics, Denim & Friends and Traditional Christmas collections.

To make a symetrical front to the card I used castle die cut from the reverse side on the right of the card.  I have also used the reverse sides of the paper for the little brick sections for added interest.  The castle gates are made from the Window Doohickey.

I have used the castle again on the top of the card along with two towers cut from a Magnolia die from Volume 5.  The battlements are the top of the Lovely Fence Doohickey die.

On each side I have also added some little bricks from the castle Doohickey die.  The clouds were cut with the Doohickey from Volume 25, Bella Notte.

Once you open the gates the drawbridge drops down to reveal the birthday message.

The 'portcullis' is the fence Doohickey from Volume 25 turned upside down.  I love it when you can use dies to make other items.

The whole card still folds down flat to be placed into an envelope.  I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Flower Bike Tilda

Good afternoon!  Today I have made a gatefold scene card using the gorgeous Flower Bike Tilda from Magnolia's Lovely Collection.  The papers are all from Maja Design, the green is Monochromes, Shades of Winterdays, Moss Green and the pink is from the Little Street Cafe Collection.

This is what the card looks like when you open the first 'gate' of the card.  I have used the fence and hill Doohickey from Doohickey Volume 6 to create the little fence scenes on each side.  I have also used the tree and blossoms from Doohickey Volume 22.

This is the card fully open.  The cute clouds were cut with a die from Volume 25 and I have used the Doily Edge Doohickey for the top of the card.

As always, I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks.

I have used one of the Woodland Tags for the sentiment and rearranged the Have a Lovely Day sentiment by masking parts of the stamp so that it fitted in the heart.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Student Collection

Good morning! Today's card features stamps from the new Student Collection from Magnolia.  I have used the Grattis Studenten Art Set for this card.

I stamped the falling roses three times at different angles so that it looks like Tilda is having roses thrown around her.  I have painted the image with Distress Inks.  I love that the Swedish flag can be painted as the English flag too!

I have paired the stamp with the Congratulations text from the Lost and Found Collection but the stamp set does include some Swedish text.

I used the fence from Doohickey Volume 25 and the Star Tag too.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Baby Shower Card

I have another card to share today using the gorgeous dies from Doohickey Volume 25, Bella Notte.  I love this set so much!

How cute are these little clouds?  I have combined them with the moon and hanging star that I used on my last card.  Again I have cut the hanging star in glitter cardstock and patterned paper so that I could create a two colour die cut.  The white panel is also cut with a Magnolia die, the largest die from the Vintage Frames and Tags die set.

I have embossed the Baby Shower sentiment, from the You Are Invited Collection, with silver embossing powder.  The pink paper is from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics paper collection.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Don't Let Anyone Steal Your Dreams

Good morning!  I have another card to share with you today using the gorgeous dies from Doohickey Volume 25 - Bella Notte.  The black paper is from Maja Design's Celebration Collection.  I used the frame Doohickey from Vintage Box 6 for the card base.

I have used all of the star dies, the moon and the star on a ribbon from the new collection.  The stars and moon have been used to cut out windows to show the glitter card behind and the star on a ribbon has been cut from blue paper and glitter card.  I have then cut off the blue star so that the ribbon and star are different colours.  The sentiment is a little hard to read on the photo but is clearer in real life.  It says "Don't let anyone steal your dreams.  It's your dream not theirs!".  It comes with Pin Not Tilda from the World Wide Web Collection.  I had several attempts at the embossing: gold didn't look right, and neither did copper.  I wanted it to match the rose gold glitter cardstock.  I decided to try mixing the two together and it worked perfectly!

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Stay safe!

Van Gogh Inspired Cafe Card

Good morning!  I am so excited to share my first card using the gorgeous Bella Notte Doohickey dies with you.  I had so much fun making this!  As soon as I saw the dies they reminded me of sitting on a restaurant terrace in the evening.  This in turn made me think of Van Gogh's The Cafe Terrace at Night painting.  I tried to recreate it, with some artistic licence of adding the lights, with a 3D scene card.

I used the Edwin's Town from the Spring Collection, stamped in black onto black cardstock, so that I could cut them out for the silhouettes in the background.  I created the sky using Distress inks and splashing with water to create the white droplets as in Van Gogh's painting.

I just love all of the dies in this set!  On the front of the card I have used the lamp post and the potted plant.  I have used the Cafe Chair and French Tea Party stamps from the Summer Memories Collection to create the cafe table and chairs.  As always they are painted with Distress Inks.

I ued the wall die to create the cobbled street, inking the edges of all the stones with Walnut Stain Distress ink before setting back in the 'cement'.  All of the papers on the card are by Maja Design from various collections.

I added part of a lamppost in the background so that it looks like it is in the distance and used the leaves from the potted plant die to add the overhanging trees.

My favourite dies from this new set are the fairy lights!  How cute are these?  I have added them to the lamppost at the front and then attached them to different sections in the background so that it looks like the street is adorned with lights.

Another aspect not in the painting, but I thought it be great if this little cafe had a view of the Eiffel. Tower, cut in glitter cardstock to give the appearance of being lit up at night.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!
