Craft Heaven DT - Urban Collection

Good morning!  Today's card for Craft Heaven features the amazing Tilda from the Magnolia Day 2019 Urban Collection stamp set.    I've teamed her with some gorgeous papers from Pion Design, Delicate Blooms from the New Beginnings Collection.

I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added some dots to her eyes and cheeks with a white gel pen.

The gorgeous chipboard flower spray is from Scrapiniec and the cherry blossoms and lace are from Craft Heaven.

The sentiment was cut from the Little Things paper from Pion Design's New Beginnings Collection.  This paper has so many fantastic sentiments on it!

The tags were cut with the heart tag from Doohickey Volume 5 and I have added white seam binding to them.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Craft Heaven DT - Tilda in Paris

Good afternoon!  I'd like to share a card featuring one of my favourite techniques today: painting in sepia.  I love this technique for a few reasons; it is quicker than painting in colour, it is very effective and it looks like old photos, which I love!  I have used my favourite Maja Design paper at the moment, Stonewashed from the Denim & Friends collection.  I had to buy more of it so that I don't run out!

I masked Tilda and the Eiffel Tower images from the With Love From Paris stamp kit from Magnolia Day 2017 and painted the whole scene with Walnut Stain Distress ink using the no lines technique.  I added a few detail with a white gel pen.  I stamped the cute little dog separately and painted her in the same way before cutting her out and adding to the 'photo' with 3D pads.  The card was cut with the heart frame doohickey from Magnolia Vintage Box 5.

I used the birdcage and bird doohickeys from Vintage Box 5 and the post mark stamp is from the With Love From Paris stamp set.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

TOMIC #3 - May Flowers

Good morning!  Our new challenge starts today over on the TOMIC blog and this month our theme is "May Flowers".  I have used some gorgeous paper from the Maja Summertime paper pad and another one from the Denim Collection.

I inked up the gorgeous Tilda from one of the Magnolia Day kits again and this time masked her with the honeycomb background that was in the kit.  I  have painted them with Distress Inks as always.  To make the honeycomb look more realistic I gave it a coat from a Wink of Stella pen and I have added Startdust Stickles to her wings.

I used the flower border from Doohickey Kit Volume 4 to add some detail to the bottom of the image.

The flowers are from Craft Heaven and the leaves were cut with the Rose Leaf Doohickey.

The sentiment is from the Magnolia Day kit too and I have cut it out with a tag from Doohickey Kit Volume 5.  The seam binding and charm are from Craft Heaven too.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at The Official Magnolia Blog this month.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking!

Craft Heaven DT - A Spring Card

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a card I've created using one of the new stamps released on Magnolia Day and papers from the gorgeous Maja Design Summertime paper collection.

I have painted the sweet Tilda in her magnolia flower with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I've added dots to her cheeks, eyes and hair bow with a white gel pen.

The beautiful sentiment comes with the image, along with a few other background stamps.  The sentiment was cut out with a die from the Doohickey Volume 9.

The butterflies were cut from a Pion Design paper.  The beautiful pink lace is also from Craft Heaven.

How cute is this birdhouse charm?  It does come with a hanging loop on it but I snipped it off so that it looked like it was propped in the tree.  I created the magnolia flowers from Silk Foam using a Doohickey die.  The branches were cut with the Sakura Branch Doohickey die.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

TOMIC #2 - Easter (& an animal or egg)

Good evening!  I am a little late with my TOMIC challenge card this month as I have been very busy behind the scenes with some Magnolia projects.  I'll tell you more about them another time, but for now I present my Easter card!  Once again I have used the gorgeous Sakura Background and Daffodil Doohickies on my project.

Did you join in Magnolia Day or buy any of the kits?  This little cutie is from one of the kits - isn't she amazing?  As always I have coloured her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I've also added Stardust Stickles to her wings.  To create the Easter eggs I cut egg shaped frames with Spellbinders dies and then cut the Sakura Background cut outs to match.  I think they look so pretty!

The butterfly edge is by Joy Crafts and the leaves were cut with an older Doohickey die.

The daffodils were cut from Foamiran this time.  I have used ivory Foamiran and inked it slightly in the centre with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us this month for the TOMIC challenge.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations!

Thanks for looking.

Flower Shop Tilda

Good morning!  Today's card for Craft Heaven features the gorgeous Flower Shop Tilda from the Upgrade Le Fleur collection.
I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique as always.  I have also used the text stamp from the Boiléve set around the image.
I have made orchids from coffee filter paper using the orchid Doohickey and added some gorgeous lace from Craft Heaven.  The papers are by Maja Design from the Denim  and Joyous Winter Days Collections.
I have also used the bird cage Doohickey from Volume 3 and the Bloomy Tag Doohickey.
I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Swan Lake Theatre

I'm so excited to share my first creation on my Magnolia blog!  I made this Swan Lake Theatre back in November on the Online Magnolia Day and actually realised today that I only posted it on Facebook, not on my blog!!  As my daughter takes ballet lessons I gave her the theatre as a decoration for her bedroom.
The base of the theatre is a recycled cardboard ribbon spool which I covered in some beautiful Pion Design papers around the outside.  I also used a scrap of paper that looked like wood for the floor boards on the stage.
I painted Tilda and the swans with Distress Inks and then cut them out completely so that I could add them to the stage.
I used the Heart Swirl Doohickey from Magnolia to create the vines to frame the sides of the stage.  I used some beautiful straws from Craft Heaven Shop topped with pearl pins for the frame supports.  I also added lace and some rose trim around the top of the theatre.
I also added some pretty flowers from my collection at the base of each straw.
Here is the view looking down on Tilda from above the theatre.  I hope you have enjoyed viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it!  Thanks for looking! x
