Craft Heaven DT - Snow Angel Card

Good afternoon!  I'm excited to show you today's Christmas card that I have made to give to my daughter this year.  As soon as I saw the image of Tilda making a snow angel I wanted to see if I could make her actually make snow angel movements.

The card base was cut with the Heartfelt Doohickey die and the papers are by Maja Design and the silver glitter card is from my stash - I recycled it from some Christmas crackers!

As always I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added Stardust Stickles to the snowflake on her trousers.

I have used the background snowflake Doohickey die from the Aspen Holidays collection by Magnolia behind the image and coated it in Stickles too.   I have also used the snowy forest Doohickey but have cut the row of trees in half and layered them up.  The blossoms are from Craft Heaven and the 'I'm dreaming of a white Christmas' sentiment comes with Tilda in the stamp set of the same name.

The smaller snowflakes were cut with the snowflake Doohickeys from the Cocoa Tilda Stamp n Cutz set and the hearts in the centres are off cuts from the large snowflake die.  The 'Daughter' was cut with a die from my stash.

Here's a little video clip showing Tilda making her snow angel!

I hope you like it and thanks for looking.  Stay safe!

Love You Watts

Good evening and happy Valentine's Day!  In honour of the day I'd like to show you my latest card for Craft Heaven featuring the Love You Watts Tilda from the Live Laugh Love Collection and papers from Maja Design's Little Street Cafe Collection.

I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks and added some details to the ribbon in her hair using a white gel pen.

The light bulb charm is from Craft Heaven and I have used the heart background Doohickey die behind the image.

The hearts are off cuts from the background die and I have added some cheesecloth behind the image too.

The sentiment comes with the Tilda, along with some lightbulbs and flowers.  I used a Spellbinders ornament die to cut Tilda out, using it upside down to resemble a lightbulb.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Tina has a sale on Magnolia stamps at the moment - check it out here!

Craft Heaven DT - Embossed Anniversary Card

Good morning!  Today I have an anniversary card to share with you using one of my favourite papers from Maja Design's Denim and Girls collection.

I've used the gorgeous heart frame die from Magnolia to cut the card shape, and the Love Heart background stamp from the Love Collection as the main focus of the card and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I've also used lots of Frantage around the edge of the heart shape, which I've cut by hand.

The gorgeous seam binding, key charm and flowers are all from Craft Heaven.

I have gathered and glued lace from Craft Heaven around the central heart and added some tiny heart gems from my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Craft Heaven DT - Tilda in Paris

Good afternoon!  I'd like to share a card featuring one of my favourite techniques today: painting in sepia.  I love this technique for a few reasons; it is quicker than painting in colour, it is very effective and it looks like old photos, which I love!  I have used my favourite Maja Design paper at the moment, Stonewashed from the Denim & Friends collection.  I had to buy more of it so that I don't run out!

I masked Tilda and the Eiffel Tower images from the With Love From Paris stamp kit from Magnolia Day 2017 and painted the whole scene with Walnut Stain Distress ink using the no lines technique.  I added a few detail with a white gel pen.  I stamped the cute little dog separately and painted her in the same way before cutting her out and adding to the 'photo' with 3D pads.  The card was cut with the heart frame doohickey from Magnolia Vintage Box 5.

I used the birdcage and bird doohickeys from Vintage Box 5 and the post mark stamp is from the With Love From Paris stamp set.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

TOMIC Inspiration - Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  I hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend.  We have made, and already eaten several, Easter nest cakes here and are looking forward to this morning's egg hunt!  You may have already seen today's project if you tuned into Magnolia's debut on Hochanda TV where my lovely team mate Becky created live on the show.  I'm sharing it today on the TOMIC blog.  I saved a pretty yellow egg box ready for decorating as an Easter gift - these are a great idea to give small eggs in.

I had to get an Easter bunny on here, of course, so I chose the sweet Tilda with Little Bunny from the Sunbeam Collection and painted her with Distress Inks as always.  I added Stardust Stickles to her head band and the frills on her pockets.  I also used the cute Sunlight stamp in the background.

To add some extra interest to the image I stamped her face and the bunny's tail twice so that I could decoupage the image.

I used the bird Doohickey from Vintage Box 5 and the recipe card from the Recipe Card Collection to cut out the image.

The sentiment is also from the Sunbeam collection and I've used the feather Doohickeys and flower spray Doohickey from Vintage Box 5 too.  The daffodils were created using the Daffodil Doohickey and stamens from my stash.  I made the little eggs from air drying clay before painting with white acrylic paint, inking with chalk ink and adding the speckles with a Distress Ink marker.

I added the same embellishments at the other side of the egg box.

I made a belly band for the egg box and edged it with lace Doohickey from Vintage Box 3, cut several times.  It makes such a pretty edge!

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  Have a wonderful Easter!

Craft Heaven DT - Get Well Soon

Good morning!  I am back with another card using a Magnolia stamp from the Get Well Collection.  The papers are from Maja Design's gorgeous Summertime paper pad.

I painted Tilda with Broken Leg using Distress Inks as always and added some details to her dress, cheeks and eyes with a white gel pen.  I have placed tiny pearls to the scallop edge around the image.

The sentiment comes with this stamp.  The font is so beautiful on this one!  The gorgeous blossoms are from Craft Heaven and the sticking plasters were cut with the Heart Band Aid Doohickey die.

I have cut more sticking plasters for the other side of the image.  The rose is from Craft Heaven too.

The tiny hearts were cut with the Heart Band Aid Doohickey too and the gorgeous heart backgrounds were cut with the Heart Background Doohickey die.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

The Official Magnolia Blog - Our First Challenge!

Good morning!  I'm so excited that it is the launch of our first challenge on the Official Magnolia Blog today!  Our first theme is 'Spring'.  You must also use at least one Magnolia die.  I have used four on my card!  The card shape was cut with the frame from Vintage Box 1 and I have used the Sakura Background Doohickey to fill the circular cut out.

I have used the gorgeous Daffodil Doohickey to create the daffodils.  I love this die and I'm sure you're going to be seeing it a lot over the next few weeks.  I've always wanted to be able to make daffodils!

The leaves were cut with a Doohcickey from Volume 4.  The gorgeous dragonfly stamp is from Vintage Box 5.

The butterfly is the largest stamp from the Butterfly Kit from the Once Upon a Time Collection.  I added a touch of Weathered Wood distress ink to the wings.

I hope you can join us this month for our 'Spring' challenge.  I've had a sneak peak at the rest of the team's cards and I can safely tell you that you are in for a treat when you pop over to the blog.  They really are stunning!  Thanks for looking and good luck if you enter the challenge!

A Gift Bag

Good afternoon!  I have made a gift bag this week for my Craft Heaven post using two gorgeous new Tilda's from the latest stamp kit.  I have used a mixture of Maja Design papers and papers from my stash.

I don't know the name of these images yet but this Tilda isn't holding the present, she comes with her outstretched hand which you could place all sorts of the small accessory stamps on, which is great!  I've used the small gift stamp that came with the set.  I have painted with Distress Inks and used a white gel pen for the dots on her eyes and cheeks.

The bag was cut with the heart frame from Vintage Box 5 and the balloons are also Doohickey dies.

The sentiment is from the Raising the Ceiling collection and I have added lace and flowers from Craft Heaven.

I also added a rose gold glitter star that I recycled from a bought card.

I used the cut off strips from two different Maja Design papers to make the handle.  I love that Maja Design papers have these strips, they're so useful!

On the back of the gift bag I have used another new Tilda, also painted with Distress Inks.  I have used To and From stamps from a Magnolia kit and cut them out with a tag Doohickey from Volume 3.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at Craft Heaven.  Thanks for looking! x
