Chestnuts Roasting Christmas Card

Good morning!  Here's another one of my Christmas cards this morning.  How cute is this Tilda holding 2022?  I've painted her using the no lines technique and added Stardust Stickles to. her wings, halo and the 2022.

The background stamp is from Magnolia Ink Market.  I love this line of stamps and dies from Magnolia.  Check them out here if you are not familiar with them.  I have attempted to use gold and copper leaf for the background stamp.  I never seem to be able to get the whole sentiment to be covered but quite liked the vintage effect of having some bits missing so here it is on a card.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!  I'll be back this afternoon with another Christmas card.

Balloon Christmas Card

Good morning!  Another Christmas card to show you today, this time featuring the gorgeous Hot Air Balloon Doohickey.  The beautiful background has been cut with the Tim Holtz Falling Stars die.  I love it for gorgeous but speedy backgrounds!  I cut the hot air balloon twice from co-ordinating Maja Design Christmas papers and then cut them to make a striped balloon.

I have used copper glitter card behind the Falling Stars die cut for extra sparkle.  The sentiment has been cut from some Maja Design Papers.  The seam binding was white and I stained it with a mixture of Fired Brick and Festive Berries Distress Inks.  The bells are from my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Yuletube Tutorial Number 3

Good morning!  Today I have another card to show you that I created for the Magnolia Advent Calendar in December.  As with the previous creations there is only this photo which was taken for the end of the video.  Hope you're not missing the up close and angled shots too much - or maybe you prefer just the one photo?  This creation features my favourite stamp from the new Lovely Collection, Flowery Tilda, and various Doohickey dies.  The paper is by Maja Design.

The cameo is from my stash and the lace and cherry blossom is from Craft Heaven.

I have used the Scalloped Tag Doohickey along with a key charm from Craft Heaven and some recycled twine.

The Scrapiniec element is also from Craft Heaven.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at TOMIC this month.  Pop over to the blog to see the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.  Thanks for looking!

TOMIC #5 - Christmas in August

Good morning!  Today it is time for a new challenge over on the TOMIC blog after our extended summer challenge.  Our theme for this month is 'Christmas in August'.  It's never too early to start making Christmas cards.  Even though I know this I still leave it until at least October every year!  Hopefully this challenge will help us all to get organised!

This is one of my favourite Christmas Tildas - Heavenly Tilda from the Aspen Holidays Collection.  As usual I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also added a touch of Stardust Stickles to her halo and the sparkles around her.

The cute bells and bows die cuts were cut with Doohickey dies from Vintage Box 6.  The card was cut with the frame from the same set.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to make a start on your Christmas cards (if you haven't already) and join us at TOMIC this month.  Thanks for looking!

TOMIC DT Inspirational Post

Good morning!  It's my turn to provide the inspiration post over on the TOMIC blog today.  Today's card is one of the thank you cards I've made for the end of term.  I've used the gorgeous papers from Maja Design's Summertime Collection.

I have painted Flower Girl Tilda from the Believe in Unicorns Collection with Distress Inks and used a white gel pen to add dots to her cheeks and eyes.

The flowers and lace are from Craft Heaven and I have used a Doohickey die to cut the paper lace on the red striped paper.

I hope I've inspired you to join us at TOMIC for our Summer Challenge.  Thanks for looking!

Craft Heaven DT - Anniversary Card

Good evening!  I have a wedding anniversary card to share with you today for Craft Heaven using the stunning Mrs & Mr Magnolia from Magnolia's You Are Invited collection.  I have used papers from the gorgeous Denim & Girls paper collection.

I have painted the image with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added some subtle sparkle to Tilda's veil using a Wink of Stella pen.  I have also added Startdust Stickles to her crown.  The gorgeous chipboard circle is by Scrapiniec.

The seam binding and heart key are from Craft Heaven and I have used the Heart Background Doohickey either side of the image.

The flowers were made using the Orchid Doohickey die and the centres have been inked with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

I have used Seashell Tilda from the Sea Breeze Collection and painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have added some spots to her headscarf, eyes and cheeks using a white gel pen.

I have used the orchid Doohickey dies to create the orchids from coffee filter paper and added details to them with Copic markers.

I have added a couple of flip flop charms from Craft Heaven with some twine.

Craft Heaven DT - Sweet Christmas Dreams

Good evening!  I have my project for the Craft Heaven Inspirational Blog to share today using some gorgeous Magnolia papers and an older Tilda, Something For You Tilda from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.  I actually found this Tilda, already painted when I was tidying my craft room, hence the black outline instead of the no lines technique I usually use these days.  She is still painted with Distress Inks though!

I have stamped the Vintage Merry sentiment from the So Jolly Under The Mistletoe Collection with glue and added gilding flakes in bronze and gold to make it the focal point of the card.  I have used some holly cutouts from Scrapiniec around the sentiment.  You can find lots of different Scrapiniec pieces at Craft Heaven.  They add so much instant impact to you cards!

I have used the Scalloped Tag from the Butterfly Dreams Collection to make the tags and added white cotton lace and white button twine, along with a bronze holly charm.

I added another tag to match at the other side.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Craft Heaven DT - You Are Invited

Good afternoon!  This week on the Craft Heaven blog we're showcasing stamps from the You Are Invited collection and Celebration papers from Maja Design.

I have used the Happy New Year text stamp.  I have stamped it onto vellum and embossed it with a mixture of copper and gold embossing powders.

I have also used the Big Clock stamp and dies from the Tilda in Wonderland collection and embossed the hands in the same way.

I have used the Invitation die from the You Are Invited Collection for the base of the card.  As it wasn't quite wide enough to support the clock image I have cut it out twice and glued it together.  The leaf from the invitation set has also been embossed.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
