TOMIC #6 - Clean & Simple

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share my card for our September challenge over on the TOMIC blog, 'Clean & Simple'.  Not an easy one for me, I always want to add things, but luckilly I needed a card for my brother's birthday.

I have painted the Phone Booth stamp with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  The 'Brother' sentiment is a die cut I have in my stash.

I added a little doodling in a couple of corners using a fine line pen before mounting the card front on black, kraft and white cardstocks on 3D pads to add some dimension to the card.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at TOMIC this month.  Check out the rest of the team's gorgeous creations on the blog.

TOMIC Inspiration Post - Christmas in August

Good morning!  I am a little late with my inspiration post this month as I have been on holiday and didn't get chance to schedule it before I left.  Today I have another Christmas card to share using one of my favourite Christmas stamps from Magnolia- Frozen Tilda.

I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added some snowflakes with a white gel pen.

The card shape, snowflakes and pine branch have been cut with Doohickey dies from Vintage Box 4 which was recently available on Hochanda.

The snowflakes look so pretty and sparkly cut from glitter paper with a gem in the centre!

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to start your Chrismtas cards!

TOMIC #5 - Christmas in August

Good morning!  Today it is time for a new challenge over on the TOMIC blog after our extended summer challenge.  Our theme for this month is 'Christmas in August'.  It's never too early to start making Christmas cards.  Even though I know this I still leave it until at least October every year!  Hopefully this challenge will help us all to get organised!

This is one of my favourite Christmas Tildas - Heavenly Tilda from the Aspen Holidays Collection.  As usual I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also added a touch of Stardust Stickles to her halo and the sparkles around her.

The cute bells and bows die cuts were cut with Doohickey dies from Vintage Box 6.  The card was cut with the frame from the same set.

I hope you like it and I've inspired you to make a start on your Christmas cards (if you haven't already) and join us at TOMIC this month.  Thanks for looking!

Teacher Thank You Cards

Good morning!  I have another card to share today for Craft Heaven.  These are the thank you cards I made for my daughter to take to school.  Same design as my last post but some extra embellishments in the form of Doohickey dies.

I used a white gel pen to create the 'chalk' writing.

The cute owl and ruler are from Doohickey volume 20, Back to School.  The plasters were also cut with a Doohickey die from Maja Design paper.

The leaves were cut with the Rose Leaf Doohickey die and the seam binding is from Craft Heaven.

Altogether I made four cards, all the same design except for the extra addition of the plasters on the first one.

I hope you like them and thanks for looking!

I have painted Flower Girl Tilda from the Believe in Unicorns Collection with Distress Inks and used a white gel pen to add dots to her cheeks and eyes.

The flowers and lace are from Craft Heaven and I have used a Doohickey die to cut the paper lace on the red striped paper.

I hope I've inspired you to join us at TOMIC for our Summer Challenge.  Thanks for looking!

Craft Heaven and TOMIC DT - Summer Days

Good evening!  I can't believe it has been a month since my last post!  I have been so busy lately and creating a lot of things behind the scenes which I will be showing you shortly.  Today I have a card for Craft Heaven Shop and also as a remind for our TOMIC challenge that runs all summer.  I have used the gorgeous Maja Design Summertime paper pad.  All of the papers in this collection are so beautiful it is hard to chose what to use!

I have painted Lazy Day Tilda from the Pool Party collection with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.  I have also used the postmark stamp from the With Love From Paris stamp collection at the side of the image.

The strawberries were made with Maja papers and the Magnolia Strawberry die and the flowers and lace are from Craft Heaven.

The ice-cream was also cut with a Magnolia doohickey and I've topped it with strawberries cut from one of the Maja Design papers.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x
